Mebex Tablet is used to treat various parasitic worm infections in children. It works by preventing the worms from absorbing vital nutrients from the body, which drains their energy and eventually kills them. Once dead, the worms are passed out of the body through the stool.
This medicine should be given to your child by mouth, with or without food, exactly as directed by the doctor. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the tablet, you should give the same dose again. The length of the treatment will depend on the type of worm causing the infection.
Typically, Mebex is given twice a day for three days. However, the doctor might recommend repeating the dose after two weeks to avoid reinfection. Some infections may require a longer course, lasting several days or weeks. It is important to follow the full course of treatment as prescribed to ensure the infection is completely cleared and to prevent it from coming back.

HOW MEBEX TABLET WORKS
Worms enter your child’s body when your child eats or drinks something that’s infected with a worm or its eggs. Once inside the body, these worms get attached to the inner walls of the intestines and can even enter other body organs. Mebex Tablet works by keeping the worms from absorbing sugar (glucose), thereby depleting their energy level. This causes the worms to die, following which the medicine fosters the removal of these dead worms through stools. This helps treat your child’s infection.
