Imatib 400 mg Tablet (Imatinib) is a cancer-fighting medicine that belongs to a group called tyrosine kinase inhibitors. It is mainly used to treat certain types of blood cancers and a type of tumor in the digestive tract.

How Imatib Tablet Works Imatib blocks an abnormal enzyme called bcr-abl tyrosine kinase, which helps cancer cells grow. By stopping this enzyme, the medicine slows down or stops cancer cell growth and causes the cancer cells to die naturally (a process called apoptosis).
